President William Ruto has officially launched the process of developing a new national development blueprint that will succeed Kenya Vision 2030, calling on Kenyans from all walks of life to participate in shaping the country’s long-term future.

Speaking during the launch, President Ruto emphasized that the next development plan should reflect the aspirations, priorities, and ambitions of all Kenyans. He urged citizens, professionals, businesses, youth, civil society, and other stakeholders to contribute ideas that will guide the country’s economic and social transformation beyond the Vision 2030 framework.

The Head of State noted that while Vision 2030 has played a significant role in driving infrastructure development and economic growth, changing global and local realities require a fresh strategy that addresses emerging challenges and opportunities. He said the new blueprint will focus on sustainable economic growth, job creation, innovation, industrialization, environmental conservation, and improved service delivery.

The government is expected to conduct nationwide public participation and stakeholder consultations to gather views before drafting the new development framework. The initiative aims to ensure that the next national blueprint reflects the collective vision of Kenyans and supports inclusive and sustainable development for future generations.

The launch marks the beginning of a new chapter in Kenya’s long-term planning as the country prepares for life beyond Vision 2030, with the government pledging an open and inclusive process in developing the successor strategy.
