The Linda Mwananchi movement has intensified calls for Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna to consider a presidential bid, with leaders and supporters rallying behind him during a political tour across Kenya’s Western region.

The campaign comes as political alignments continue to take shape ahead of the next General Election, with supporters describing Sifuna as a leader capable of championing governance reforms, accountability, and youth empowerment.

The Western tour attracted large crowds, with delegates urging the ODM Secretary-General to step forward and contest the country’s top seat. However, Sifuna has not officially declared his intention to run for president.

The growing calls are expected to fuel debate within the opposition as political parties begin positioning themselves for the upcoming electoral cycle.
